Prestige Reef Mega Build
In 2020 we were approached by prestige reef to design and install their coral farm.
The concept was to divide the farm into two systems which would allow for a dedicated system for soft and LPS coral and a secondary, specialised system for SPS and higher end LPS.
The system adopted an intricate plumbing style that allowed for most of the flow through the system to enter under the racks. This reduces the number of dead patches which can become a problem as the racks divide the bottom and top of the tray. The flow is then supported above the racks through two MP40s for each tray mounted on one side by specifically designed dry weirs.
The water changing system provides a far easier solution which only requires opening and closing valves in a specific order.

Every great reef system starts with a vision, and bringing this project to life required careful planning, precision and a huge amount of hands-on work.
From constructing the timber support frames and positioning the glass aquariums to designing and installing the extensive PVC pipework, every element of this system was carefully considered to create a practical, efficient and fully integrated setup.
One of the biggest challenges was developing a plumbing system capable of connecting multiple aquariums while allowing individual control over water flow, easy maintenance and future flexibility. The result is a network of pipework, valves and filtration components designed to keep the entire system working together.
This project represents our passion for aquarium design and engineering, combining our experience in custom aquarium manufacturing with a practical understanding of what makes a successful marine system.
